The light was really this blue and I am quite amazed that the old squeaky camera captured this image. I used free software to stitch images together.
Happy New Year to all!

God Jul!
Just returned from clearing the snow. I love this time to exercise and contemplate the meaning of life. About a 15cm blanket over everything. The atmosphere is so peaceful and quite. Any noise from cars, or snøfresser is muffled.

Hope amongst Gloom
This was taken during a lovely autumnal walk in the late afternoon while light was fading fast. Such a photogenic area.

An autumn stroll
The sun is much lower in the sky but the quality of light through the autumn canopy is still fantastic. The air was so fresh and energizing. I am so fortunate to live near somewhere like this. As I strolled along the rocky path, entwined with tree roots, I could hear a woodpecker. I stopped for a while to try to spot is, but could not get close enough.

In Touch With Nature
Many, many weeks have passed since the last entry.! A great many changes have occurred... for the better.
This water fall is a short stroll away from home. I enjoy stopping by, and listening to the flow of water into the lake, watching the spheres of water rise and fall. Mesmerizing relaxation.

Let the Sun Go Down
Elton was here last night performing all his classics.
was outside the stadium being entertained for free.
Before the concert many people were hanging umbrellas on the security fences... a mystery. They were not allowed any bottles and so there was last minute gulping down of alcohol.
There were quite a few push bikes. Many were left unlocked.
Elton was playing "Don't let the sun go down on me." as I was taking the photographs.

Tough Climb
Myself and Luigi went on another bike tour, about 20km. The local cycling club were out racing. This hill was one of the steepest I have climbed in a long time, although it does not look it from the perspective of the cameraman!

Ghost Tree #1
Nervous feet struggle to cling to shallow earth beneath.
A twisted, ancient torso, so shellacked with biting, fierce ice,
Shaped through the ages by the North Wind's temper,
Gnarled limbs outstretched towards heaven upon high,

Lost Dimension
The landscape is so wild and rugged within close proximity to urban life. My recent trip overflowed my thoughts with awe and wonder. An amazingly vast and quiet space. No not my thoughts but the landscape I now live in!! To experience such stillness takes one to another dimension: The lost dimension. Friends, please make the time to return to your lost dimension, marvel at nature's beauty, and reflect on what is most important in life.

Feint Architecture
There has been plenty of snowfall recently. The other Sunday we had about 50 centimeters! More will come in March because they say whatever the amount falls in winter, the same amount falls in March.

Margin of Safety
With some effort on my part, this is turning into one of my most successful images on flickr. This is how i perceived the scene in terms of the intensity of the water, and lovely light washing down the logs. I am entering it into the CPS competition.
