Female Common Blue
Finally finished this sketch working from an A4 photograph from Thomas Marent's book on Butterfly.

Always busy. A chance to stand and stare. It was so fantastic to take about 15 minutes to quickly sketch this loco in a museum, and then complete it, with reference to a photograph, on the 3 hour coach journey back. Just a ballpoint.
While doing the sketch children were playing hide and seek and it was like a closing scene of the Benny Hill Show!!
